You will make a lasting impact on their lives by discovering teaching and behavioral solutions for each child in your care. This challenging field prepares you to work in a classroom, the community or in education administration.
The College's special education program is nationally recognized by the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) and the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). The program emphasizes a strong sense of community and camaraderie with your peers. Your coursework will prepare you for positions within community agencies and for graduate programs. And, a mandatory, 14-week clinical practice experience will prepare you to be a compassionate, effective leader in the classroom.
